HAMDEN, Conn. – No. 4/7 Indiana outscored Quinnipiac 40-26 in the second half as it secured the road win at Quinnipiac, 67-59, on Saturday night.

KEY MOMENTS
- Quinnipiac came out and took a 10-2 lead before Indiana could find an answer on back-to-back buckets from Berger and Browne to cut the lead to four.
- The Hoosiers (4-0) got in early foul trouble in the opening quarter as they found themselves down 16-10 going into the second 10 minutes.
- QU (2-2) extends the lead to 13 with 5:29 to play in the second quart, proving to be its largest of the game. Back-to-back buckets from sophomore forward Kiandra Browne forced Quinnipiac into a timeout as the Hoosiers cut the lead to nine.
- Berger gave the energy back to IU as she hit another half-court halftime buzzer beater to trim the deficit to five, 33-27.
- An and-1 opportunity for Cardaño-Hillary kept her team within five as the Bobcats kept it a two-possession game with 3:56 on the clock. That's when the Hoosiers went on a 7-3 to close out the third quarter which included a driving layup from sophomore guard Chloe Moore-McNeil and a 3-pointer from senior guard Ali Patberg to swing the game 44-43 in IU's favor.
- Pushing in the fourth, IU got a turnaround jumper from senior guard Grace Berger and junior forward Mackenzie Holmes capitalizing in the paint.
- Quinnipiac came within three with just over three minutes remaining but Indiana gained separation with buckets from Berger and free throws from senior forward Aleksa Gulbe in the final minute and a half of play.
NOTABLE
- The Hoosiers win the first ever meeting between the two teams.
- Berger led IU with 17 points, five rebounds and three assists. Patberg (12), Holmes (10) and Cardaño-Hillary (10) joined her in double figures.
- Patberg added six rebounds, two assists and went 2-for-2 from the 3-point line.
- Cardaño-Hillary led the way with eight rebounds as IU won the battle on the boards, 32-29.
- IU connected on 92.3 percent at the charity stripe, going 12-for-13.
- The Hoosiers open up the season 4-0 for the fourth time in eighth year head coach Teri Moren's tenure.
