
Hoosiers fall on the road at Michigan State

EAST LANSING, Mich. ––– Indiana Field Hockey fell in a close, 1-0, game at Michigan State on Friday afternoon to open the weekend.
With the loss, Indiana's record now stands at 3-5 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
KEY MOMENTS
• Graduate student Sarah Charley had a close shot on in 16th minute, but it was saved by Michigan State keeper Cecily Charles.
• Redshirt freshman Ceci Maixner made her first appearance in a regular season game in her Indiana career.
• Redshirt junior Shannon McNally made a key save with under three minutes to go in the first half to keep the game tied at 0-0.
• Ellie Rutherford scored with 2:52 left in the game to put Michigan State in front.
