"Well, this is extra special, as most of you probably know we've never won here as a program, so we made history for our program in terms of being able to win at Maryland. That just tells you how good Maryland had been and what a fabulous job Brend (Frese) has done in her time here. I'm really proud of our group tonight, the triangle (defense) caught us off guard, but I thought our kids handled themselves well in the first half. We knew that Maryland was not going to go away, that's just not how they are coached, and they have too much tradition and pride. They're too well coached. We knew there was going to be a run made by them and that was in the third quarter. We were able to hang on to the lead and I thought that the way our experience really paid off down the stretch and the way we handled ourselves in spite of them making a run at us. We will have to go back and watch the film and seeing some of the slippage we had defensively, I did like how we handled ourselves, especially at the end when we just decided to be ultra-aggressive and try to get ourselves to the free throw line. That was the plan. I thought Mack(enzie Holmes) and Sara (Scalia and the rest of their teammates did a fabulous job there, especially after the four minute media of keep being aggressive."
