Hoosiers fall to No. 3 Ohio State on Penalty Shots

COLUMBUS, Ohio ––– Indiana lost a tough road match to No. 3 Ohio State after going to penalty shots.
With the loss, The Hoosiers are 7-8 on the season, with a 2-4 record in conference play
KEY MOMENTS
• The Hoosier defense started strong as they held Ohio State scoreless after three-straight penalty corners.
• Sophomore midfielder Inés Garcia Prado put Indiana on the board first in the 19th minute of the first half.
• Katie Fitchner scored in the 43rd minute to tie the game at one goal each.
• Neither team was able to find the back of the cage through two overtime periods and forced the game to penalty shots.
• Graduate back Sydney Keld was able to give Indiana their one penalty goal, but Ohio State was able to convert on the sudden death goal to win the game.
