Four Hoosiers Advance To Round of 32 at ITA Regionals

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Indiana Women's Tennis closes day two of the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship with a dominant day in singles play and two doubles wins on Friday afternoon.
Junior Elisabeth Dunac secured a win in the Round of 64 in main draw singles against Saskia Soome of Southeast Missouri State, 6-0,6-7. Freshman Ameia Sorey also saw a singles win, securing her match against Yontha Tadoum from Southeast Missouri State, 6-0,6-4.
Freshman Hi'ilani Williams saw victory as she shut-out Sara Jankovic of IU Indianapolis, 6-0,6-0. Senior Nicole Teodosescu finalized the Hoosiers' singles success as she defeated Audelie Lesavage of East Tennessee State, 6-2,6-1.
Teodosescu and Sorey knocked off Niyati Kukreti and Audelie Lesauvage from East Tennessee State, 8-1. Williams and junior Li Hsin Lin added to the success in doubles action with a win against Zara Burns and Margaret Manolache of Chattanooga, 8-2.
Action begins at 9 a.m. ET tomorrow with doubles play resuming before the Round of 32 main draw singles action gets underway.
