Setting The Scene
• No. 2/2 Indiana will head east to face Maryland on Saturday (Nov. 1) at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS inside SECU Stadium in College Park, Maryland.
• Indiana won last year's contest, 42-28, in Bloomington. Prior to that, the two teams each won three games in a row in the series during the six seasons prior with Maryland taking each game from 2021-23 and Indiana winning each of their matchups from 2018-20.\
• Indiana leads the all-time series against Maryland 8-5 and is 6-5 against them as Big Ten opponents. This will be the 12th consecutive meeting between the two programs as they have faced one another every season since Maryland joined the Big Ten in 2014..
News & Notes
• Indiana's ranking in both the AP and USA Today/US LBM Coaches Poll is No. 2, the highest in program history.
• The 19 victories since the beginning of the 2024 season are the most in any two-year span in program history and rank tied for No. 3 nationally over that span. The 13 Big Ten wins during that span are also the most in a two-year stretch in IU history. MORE ON PAGE 5
• Indiana is 8-0 to start a season for the third time in program history after its 56-6 win over UCLA (10/25) in Week 9. It is the second-straight season Indiana has started 8-0 to mark the first time in program history consecutive seasons were started at 8-0 or better. The eight wins are tied for No. 4 in program history.
• Indiana's 5-0 start in Big Ten play marks the third time in program history an Indiana team started with an unblemished mark through at least five conference games (7-0, 2024; 5-0, 1967).
• The Hoosiers are 39-27-1 all-time as a ranked team, which includes a 32-20-1 mark in Big Ten play.
• Indiana's 14-game home winning streak is the longest streak in program history and No. 3 nationally among active streaks. MORE ON PAGE 5
• The 50-point margin of victory over the Bruins is the second time in 2025 that IU won a conference game by 50-plus points. That is the first time since 2018 (Clemson) that a Power 4 team won multiple conference games by 50-plus points in the same season.
• Indiana allowed just one third-down conversion versus UCLA (1-for-11) to mark the eighth time since 1992 that an opponent converted one-or-fewer third downs.
• With 88 yards rushing allowed to UCLA, Indiana's defense has held an opponent to fewer than 100-yards rushing for the seventh time in 2025, the second-most in program history (8, 2024) since at least 1958.
• Fernando Mendoza's threw for three touchdowns against UCLA to put him at 24 passing touchdowns on the season, the most of any player in the FBS and the Big Ten. MORE ON PAGE 7
• Elijah Sarratt has a catch in all 46 games of his career and is the nation's active leader for consecutive games with a reception. Sarratt had his tenth touchdown of the season against UCLA, making him the ninth IU receiver with 10-plus receiving scores and first since Shane Wynn had 11 in 2013. MORE ON PAGE 9
• Sarratt leads the Big Ten with 10 receiving touchdowns and Omar Cooper Jr. is tied for No. 2 with seven.
• Aiden Fisher posted his first-career pick-6 on his first interception as a Hoosier and second of his career (at Utah State; 2023) on UCLA's first offensive possession. MORE ON PAGE 12
• Isaiah Jones has logged at least 0.5 tackle for loss in every game of 2025. Jones leads the Big Ten in tackles for loss (11.5) and is tied for third in the conference in sacks (5.0). He forced his first career fumble when he stripped the ball from UCLA's Jalen Berger in the second quarter and Hosea Wheeler recovered it. MORE ON PAGE 12
