TEAM
• Indiana is 9-5 all-time against Maryland with a 7-5 all-time record against Maryland as a Big Ten opponent. The Hoosiers are 4-3 in games played in College Park.
• Indiana's game captains were: OL Pat Coogan, LB Aiden Fisher, RB Roman Hemby, WR Elijah Sarratt
• Maryland won the coin toss and deferred the opening kickoff. Indiana received the opening kick.
• The Hoosiers are 40-27-1 all-time as a ranked team, which includes a 17-18 record on the road and a 33-20-1 mark in Big Ten play.
• Indiana starts a season 9-0 for the second time in program history (2024) and ties for the second-most wins in program history (9; 1945, 1967).
• The 6-0 start in Big Ten play marks the second time in program history an Indiana team started with an unblemished mark through at least six conference games (7-0; 2024) and ties for second-most conference wins ever (6; 1967, 1987, 2020).
• The 45-point margin of victory is tied for the third-largest road win in program, with three coming in Big Ten play. IU went on the road and defeated Fort Knox by 51 points in 1942, Minnesota by 49 in 1945 and Purdue by 45 in 1988.
• Indiana's 55 points scored are its fourth-most in a road game in program history and its most since the program record in 1988 at Wisconsin (63). It also scored 58 points at Kentucky in 1969 and 59 points at Kentucky in 1994.
• With 55 points, Indiana has topped the 50-point mark for the eighth time since the start of 2024 and the 24th time in program history.
Offense
• Time of possession of 40:22 marks the fourth-highest total overall and most in a road game for Indiana since at least 1991, behind 2010 Michigan (41:47), 2005 Kentucky (41:37) and 2025 Old Dominion (41:28). It is also just the sixth such occurrence in that span, adding 2005 at Iowa (40:09) and 1991 at Minnesota (40:02).
• Indiana's 35 second-half points are tied for the fourth most in a Big Ten game since 1950 and the most since 38 against Purdue (38) in 2024.
• It is the third-highest scoring half in a road game (since 1950) behind 2001 Wisconsin (45) and 2012 UMass (38).
• Indiana rushed for multiple touchdowns for the 18th time in 22 games under head coach Curt Cignetti.
• With 367 yards rushing, Indiana posted its program-record fifth game of the season with 300-plus yards rushing. It opened the season with four-straight 300-yard efforts on the ground, the most by a Power 4 team since 2015 (Baylor).
Defense
• With 37 yards rushing allowed, Indiana limited its eighth-straight opponent under 100-yards rushing - a program record. The effort also ties the program mark for most games with an opponent under 100 yards rushing in a single season in program history.
• The 256 yards of total offense for Maryland mark the seventh game in 2025 that IU limited the opposition to fewer than 300 yards of total offense to tie the program record (1989, 1991, 2024).
• The five turnovers forced (3 FR, 2 INT) are tied for the most in a game since a six-turnover game at Iowa in 2009.
• Its three forced fumbles are tied for the most in a single game since it had four forced fumbles at Minnesota in 2018. IU also forced three fumbles against Illinois in the 2022 season opener.
• The third-quarter fumble recovery for a touchdown was the first by a Hoosier since 2022 at Nebraska.

• Had his 13th career touchdown and his third as a Hoosier on a 6-yard reception from Alberto Mendoza in the fourth quarter.
Byron Baldwin Jr. | DB | Fr.
• Had his first career forced fumble and fumble recovery on his strip of Octavian Smith Jr. in the third quarter.
Charlie Becker | WR | So.
• Had a career-long 52-yard reception in the second quarter.
Kaelon Black | RB | R-Sr.
• Ran for his 11th career rushing touchdown and sixth as a Hoosier on his 31-yard score in the third quarter.
• Had his second career and first 100-yard rushing game as a Hoosier with 110 yards on 14 carries.
Jah Jah Boyd | DB | R-Fr.
• Had his first career forced fumble when he stripped the ball from Jahmari Powell-Wonson and Garrett Reese recovered the ball in the fourth quarter.
Devan Boykin | DB | R-Sr.+
• Forced and recovered a fumble for a 32-yard touchdown return on his strip of Malik Washington in the third quarter for his first touchdown as a Hoosier. His last fumble recovery for a touchdown came against Boston College in 2021 while at NC State.
Omar Cooper Jr. | WR | R-Jr.
• His 22-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter puts him at 17 career receiving scores and into a tie at No. 7 in the program's career charts with Cody Latimer (17; 2011-13. He trails Elijah Sarratt (18; 2024-present) and Thomas Lewis (18; 1991-93) at No. 5
Roman Hemby | RB | R-Sr.
• Had his 27th career rushing touchdown and his fifth as a Hoosier on his 16-yard touchdown in the third quarter.
Mikail Kamara | DL | R-Sr.
• Owns at least one tackle in 44 of 46 career games played.
Khobie Martin | RB | R-Fr.
• Posted 80 yards rushing on 11 carries and scored his fifth career touchdown.
Alberto Mendoza | QB | R-Fr.
• Had his fourth career touchdown pass when he connected with Jonathan Brady for a 6-yard score in the fourth quarter.
• Posted a career-long 53-yard rush in the fourth quarter.
Fernando Mendoza | QB | R-Jr.
• His 201 yards passing put him at 2,124 on the season which pushes him to No. 20 on the single-season passing charts. He trails Jay Rodgers (2,156; 1997) for No. 19.
• Ran for his eighth career rushing touchdown and fourth as a Hoosier on his 7-yard score.

• Had his eighth career interception and fifth this season on his second quarter pick of Malik Washington. The interception puts him in a tie at No. 16 on the program's career list and in a tie at No. 8 on the single season list.
Nico Radicic | K | R-So.
• His 7-for-7 effort on extra points pushed his season total to 55, passing Griffin Oakes (53; 2015) for No. 3 on the program's season charts. He trails Mitch Ewald (56; 2013) for No. 2.
• His 46-yard field goal in the second quarter tied his career long. He last hit from 46 yards in Week 5 at Iowa (9/27).
• His 13 total points pushed his career total to 189, passing Jade Butcher (180; 1967-69) for No. 14 on the list. He trails Charles Campbell (190; 2018-22) for No. 13.
• His two made field goals against the Terrapins improved his active streak to 12-straight made field goals, passing Griffin Oakes (11; 2015 & 2017) for No. 3 on the program's career list. He trails Logan Justus (14; 2019) for No. 2.

• Had his first career fumble recovery when he picked up the ball from Jah Jah Boyd's forced fumble of Jahmari Powell-Wonson in the fourth quarter.
