BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana swimming and diving added eight Hoosiers to its rosters for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships during this week's NCAA Zone C Diving Championships, which concluded Wednesday (March 12) inside the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on the campus of the Ohio State University.
With the four diving additions to both the men's and women's teams, IU improved its men's roster to 17 athletes and women's squad to 14 – with divers counting as half a participant.
Junior Dash Glasberg and freshman Mary Kate Cavanaugh became the fourth divers for the men's and women's teams to qualify for the national meet with their platform performances Wednesday. Glasberg finished right above the cutline in 10th, while Cavanaugh placed sixth in the women's event. Having both also placed top 12 in a previous event, both athletes will be eligible to dive on a second board – Glasberg on 1-meter and Cavanaugh on 3-meter.
Five Indiana divers qualified on all three boards. On the men's side, seniors Quinn Henninger, Carson Tyler and Maxwell Weinrich – who combined for 121 points at last year's NCAA Championships – will again look to give Indiana a significant advantage in the diving well. Sophomores Ella Roselli and Lily Witte swept the NCAA bids on the women's side. Senior Skyler Liu will compete in the 3-meter and platform events.
