TEMPE, Ariz. – No. 10 Indiana water polo got a career-high six goals from junior Louisa Downes but fell 16-11 at No. 8 Arizona State on Saturday at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Hoosiers kept it even for much of the first but Arizona State's Millie Quinn scored with 40 seconds left to take a 4-3 edge.
- Senior Skylar Kidd got Indiana back even to start the second to start a back-and-forth quarter which included a pair of goals from Downes. Indiana trailed 7-6 at the break.
- Downes once again kept the Hoosiers within reach with a pair of third quarter goals and tied it up at 9-all. However, IU was outscored 6-2 down the stretch in the fourth quarter.
- Downes tied a career-high six goals in the effort, her second of the season as she also scored four against Michigan. The reigning MPSF Player of the Week also had an assist, steal and drawn exclusion.
- Four other players each scored a goal in the effort with Kidd, seniors Sophia Sollie and Grace Hathaway along with junior Nicole Tyner adding to the offense.
- Junior goalie Jasmine Higgs pulled in 11 saves with a team-high three steals and scored a goal.
- Junior Grace Klingler had a pair of steals
- Indiana moved to 16-7 on the season and 0-3 in MPSF play.
