BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Four years ago, the Class of 2025 entered the Hoosier community as freshmen, masked and uncertain amid a global pandemic. On May 9, they walked across the stage as proud graduates—resilient, accomplished, and ready for what lies ahead. In a special celebration hosted by the Excellence Academy, 55 student-athletes were honored for their graduation achievements in front of more than 260 family members and friends.
Deb McClurg, President of the I-Association, had the privilege of presenting each graduate with their I-Pin, signifying their transition to alumni status within the Hoosier family. From athletic success to academic excellence, these student-athletes have left a lasting mark at Indiana University.
Senior swimmer Anna Peplowski served as the Class of 2025's graduate speaker. A decorated athlete with multiple All-American honors and an Olympic medal, Peplowski's impact reached far beyond the pool, touching the Bloomington community as well.
"But this moment isn't just about one person, one sport, or one path. It's about all of us, every student-athlete who has poured their heart into representing Indiana," Peplowski shared in her speech. True to the Hoosier motto, "24 Sports, 1 Team," the ceremony reflected a shared bond and collective pride.
As these graduates begin the next chapter of their lives, the Excellence Academy congratulates the Class of 2025 on their tremendous success and enduring legacy as Indiana Hoosiers.
