Six Hoosiers Named to NFCA All-Region Teams

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– Indiana Softball had six players recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Thursday afternoon for earning All-Region honors for the Great Lakes Region.
Indiana's Taylor Minnick, Brianna Copeland and Madalyn Strader all earned First Team honors.
Aly VanBrandt was named to the Second Team.
Avery Parker and Kinsey Mitchell were each Third Team honorees.
For Minnick, this is her third-consecutive year being named First Team All-Region. She is hitting .470 at the plate with 70 hits, 23 doubles, two triples, 16 home runs and 63 RBI.
Copeland's First Team honor is the second of her career and third as a member of an All-Region Team, landing Second Team honors in 2024. She has been excellent in the circle and at the plate for Indiana as always in 2025.
In the circle, she has a 17-8 record with 141 strikeouts while holding opposing batters to a .274 batting average. At the plate, she is hitting .327 with 10 doubles, 13 home runs and 40 RBI. Copeland also has notched 14 stolen bases on 15 attempts.
Strader has had an outstanding freshman campaign, earning her first All-Region recognition and First Team honors. The Cedar Park, Texas native is batting .425 with three doubles, three triples and 11 RBI while serving as a routine starter in the left side of the infield from day one.
VanBrandt has been an All-Region Second Team honoree both years of her college career now. The sophomore is hitting .374 at the plate with 11 doubles and 25 RBI.
Every year of Parker's career, she has been named to an All-Region team. In 2025, she is hitting .401 with 16 doubles, 11 home runs and 58 RBI.
Mitchell's selection to the Third Team is the first All-Region honor of her career. She is batting .400 with 16 doubles, two home runs and 35 RBI.
