GREENSBORO, N.C. (ABCA) – Ahead of the start of the Men's College World Series, the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) released its division one All-America teams. The organization honored 70 athletes across three teams that represented the best student-athletes in the 2025 college baseball season.
Junior outfielder Devin Taylor was selected as a Second Team All-American following a prolific campaign. The ABCA All-America committee – which includes eight coaches from around country – made its final selections on Thursday (June 12) afternoon in Omaha. Taylor is the first repeat ABCA All-American since Kyle Schwarber (2013-14).
Taylor was the catalyst in a strong offensive lineup for the Hoosiers this season. The veteran hit .374 with 80 hits, 63 runs scored, 18 home runs and 66 RBIs. He homered in the final four games of his collegiate career and leaves Bloomington as the program's all-time record holder in home runs (54).
He led the team with 25 multi-hit games and 22 multi-RBI games and formed a formidable duo with redshirt sophomore outfielder Korbyn Dickerson at the top of the order. Taylor became a reliable defender in left field as well, fielding at a .981 clip. He went errorless in his final 39 appearances of the year.
It is expected that Taylor will be picked inside the top-40 of this summer's MLB Draft. The career .350 hitter has become a hot commodity for professional teams due to his natural hit skills and the increased power over three seasons as a collegiate player. The Cincinnati, Ohio native is set to become the highest-drafted player that head coach Jeff Mercer has worked with at IU.
Consensus All-Americans are generally considered to be those honored by the ABCA, NCBWA, D1 Baseball and Baseball America. Taylor has already checked off the first two boxes and will await the release of teams by the final two outlets. He was also named by Perfect Game as an All-American in 2025.
