Ault Catches Eyes for Nation’s Top Honor

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — United Soccer Coaches announced on Thursday (Aug. 21) the 29 NCAA Men's Division I college soccer players named to the 2025 Hermann Trophy Watch List, including Indiana men's soccer senior forward Palmer Ault.
The Hermann Trophy is presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club and is the nation's highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year as determined by voting of Division I head coaches.
Ault transferred to IU in January after three seasons at Butler, where totaled 21 goals, 12 assists and 54 points. He earned a selection in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft, as the Colorado Rapids used its 36th overall pick in the second round.
Ault will have the chance to make a first impression Thursday night when No. 11-ranked Indiana hosts No. 9 Clemson at 8 p.m. ET on Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
