BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– Indiana Field Hockey fell to Iowa 3-1 in a tight battle on Sunday afternoon at Deborah Tobias Field.
The loss brings Indiana's overall record to 4-4. The Hoosiers stand at 0-1 in Big Ten play.
KEY MOMENTS
• Iowa's Dionne van Aalsum scored in the first minute on a penalty corner inserted by Felicia Zonnenberg and assisted by Rachel Herbine. This put the score at 1-0.
• Frederique van Cleef scored in the 35th minute of play to extend Iowa's lead to 2-0.
• Celia Arroyo Cabezudo found the back of the cage on a penalty corner inserted by Mijntje Hagen and Inés Garcia Prado.
• Indiana pulled their goalkeeper in the 55th minute to optimize goal scoring opportunities. They were unable to score with the added player.
• On a penalty corner in the 56th minute, Garcia Prado recorded a defensive save on a shot attempt by Iowa's van Aalsum.
