No. 23 Indiana Drops Dual at No. 2 Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio ––– No. 23 Indiana fell in a hard dual in its Big Ten opener at No. 2 Ohio State on Sunday (Jan. 11). Ohio State won 45-0 in the Covelli Center.
With the loss, Indiana is now 5-2 on the season and 0-1 in the Big Ten.
KEY MOMENTS
• Ohio State took control of the dual from the beginning, charting five bonus-point victories in the first five bouts.
• No. 32 Bryce Lowery and No. 2 Brandon Cannon were in a close bout with Lowery getting a takedown to earn a 5-4 lead near the end of the first period before Cannon pulled away for a 19-9 major decision.
• No. 20 Tyler Lillard and E'Than Birden were in a scramble in the closing seconds of the 165 lbs. match with Lillard nearly earning back points before time expired.
