No. 8 Indiana Picks Up Wins Over Siena, No. 24 Wagner At Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – No. 8 Indiana added two more wins to improve to 6-0 in 2026 with wins over Siena (18-6) and No. 24 Wagner (15-10) at the Princeton Invitational at DeNunzio Pool on Saturday.

KEY MOMENTS VS. SIENA
- Indiana jumped out to a 5-0 lead which led into the second quarter as five different players helped build a lead.
- Sophomore Keira Blitzer and freshman Sammy Frazier added to the tally as IU boasted a 8-4 lead at the break.
- With the first three goals in the third, the lead grew to seven with 6:13 to play on senior Grace Klingler's second goal of the contest. She would finish with one of iU's three hat tricks in the win as Blitzer and senior Nicole Tyner also had three goals each in the 18-6 win.
NOTES
- All three goalies saw action against the Saints with senior goalie Jasmine Higgs getting the start and recording seven saves. Sophomore Audrey Cox adding three and junior Maggie Frye with a pair in the effort.
- Klingler, Tyner and Blitzer all had hat tricks while freshman Kylie Williams and junior Nancy Baylor-Sefchick also had a pair.
- Senior Louisa Downes finished with four points as she had a goal and a team-high three assists.
- Sophomore Morgan Schink added a goal, assists, steal and two filed blocks.
KEY MOMENTS VS. WAGNER
- The Hoosiers faced its toughest test yet of the weekend in Wagner, who played the Hoosiers to a 3-2 score after one with freshman Macie Drum breaking the tie with 57 seconds left in the first.
- Midway through the second, the Hoosiers used back-to-back goals from seniors Grace Klingler and Nicole Tyner with 3:25 left to go up 7-3.
- They held an 8-4 lead at halftime, as the Seahawks came within two at the 5:41 mark in the third quarter. Indiana took back a pair of three goal leads including a late shot from Tyner to hold an 11-8 lead.
- IU managed to outscore Wagner, 3-1, in the fourth scoring the final three goals of the game in the final 4:53.
NOTABLE
- Senior goalie Jasmine Higgs came up big in the cage with 12 saves in the win. She also added two assists.
- Senior Louisa Downes had a team-high four goals and six total points as she had a pair of assists, a field block and drew two exclusions.
- Tyner and freshman Audrina Kang had hat tricks.
- Senior Grace Klingler finished with three steals, two assists and a goal.
- Freshman Kylie Williams recorded two goals, and a team-high four drawn exclusions.
