Hoosiers Take Down No. 64 Minnesota

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's tennis picked up its first Big Ten win of the season in a 4-2 defeat of No. 64 Minnesota on Sunday afternoon at IU Tennis Center.

Key Moments

Indiana (11-4, 1-1 B1G) started off the match with wins at No. 1 (A. Teodosescu/H. Williams) and No. 2 singles (A. Sorey/E. Duanc) to secure the doubles point and early lead.
In singles play, senior Nicole Teodosescu made quick work of Sofia Pinto (6-3, 6-3) at No. 4 singles while her sister, freshman Alessandra Teodosescu made it 3-0 for IU with a three set victory at No. 2 singles (6-3, 2-6, 6-1).
Minnesota gained a point at No. 1 singles but junior Elisabeth Dunac was able to pull off a three-set thriller of her own incluidng a 6-1 win in the third set.
