Aly VanBrandt Named Big Ten Player of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– Indiana Softball junior Aly VanBrandt was named the Big Ten's Player of the Week for her outstanding play over the weekend (Feb. 27-March 1) at the Elon & UNCG Tournament.
VanBrandt led the Hoosiers to a 5-0 showing in the tournament where they outscored their opponents by a run differential of 59-3.
Individually, she hit .500 (8-for-16) on the weekend with four home runs and two doubles. She also totaled 15 RBI and eight runs scored while also drawing five walks and was 3-for-3 on stolen bases.
Against Elon on Feb. 27, VanBrandt was 3-for-4 with two home runs and a double to total seven RBI in the game.
In the first game against UNCG (Feb. 28), she was 2-for-3 with five RBI and a grand slam.
