Jacob Moran Named Big Ten Sportsmanship Award Winner

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– Indiana graduate student Jacob Moran has been named a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree by the conference office on Thursday (April 9).
Moran is one of 14 winners of the award presented by the Big Ten.
The Sportsmanship Award recognizes individuals from each Big Ten wrestling program who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. Recipients are student-athletes in good academic standing who have demonstrated good citizenship outside of sports competition.
Moran finished his IU career at the 2026 NCAA Championships where he became an All-American, taking sixth place at 125 lbs. He was a two-time NCAA Qualifier, reaching Nationals in 2025 and 2026.
