BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's soccer closes senior night with a 1-1 draw against Bellarmine on Friday, August 21^st from Bill Armstrong Stadium. In a match dictated by the defense, penalty kicks decided the first draw of the season for the Hoosiers.

With the draw, Indiana moves to 2-0-1 on the season.

KEY MOMENTS

The Hoosiers started the game strong, recording 10 shot attempts through the first half and holding the Knights to zero.
In the 45^th minute, defender Piper Coffield stepped up to take a penalty kick rewarded through VAR, scoring the first goal of the game and giving Indiana a 1-0 lead going into halftime.
The Hoosiers continued to add pressure coming into the second half, forcing the ball into the attacking half.
In the final minute of regulation, Bellarmine was rewarded a penalty kick off a VAR handball review. Ella Flynn was able to score, ending the game in a 1-1 draw.

NOTABLE

Indiana led the game in shot attempts 17-1.
Hoosiers recorded nine corner kicks in the game.
Coffield's goal was her first of the season.
Both goals came off of penalty kicks that were VAR reviewed for hand ball calls.
