Indiana Women’s Tennis Competes at Debbie Southern Fall Classic

Greenville, S.C. – The Hoosiers wrapped up their first fall tournament with Ameia Sorey winning the consolation singles bracket along with her and doubles partner Nicole Sifuentes winning their doubles flight.
Play for Sorey began with a match against Roisin Gilheany (N.C. State) where she won the first set, 6-1, before falling 6-2 and 6-0. She picked it back up against Elle Warren (Furman) winning 6-3 and 6-4. She finished off singles play defeating Given Roach (Georgia Tech) 6-2 and 7-5 winning the consolation bracket.
Sorey and Sifuentes showed off in doubles play starting off strong defeating Rennard and Bulger (Wake Forest), 6-2. The two then competed against Roach and Karantali (Georgia Tech) defeating them 6-4. The pair concluded doubles play against Dozier and Basireddy (Georgia Tech) taking home the crown in doubles flight 2, 7-6(5).
