BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– As Indiana Football's Week 3 matchup versus Western Kentucky on Saturday (September 19) approaches, running backs Lee Beebe Jr. and Turbo Richard and defensive back Preston Zachman addressed the media inside the Don Croftcheck Football Team Room.

Lee Beebe Jr. | RB | Fifth Year
On what it's like playing with Turbo and how they both complement each other...
LB: Turbo is great. As far as the one, two punches go, we do a great job of feeding off each other's energy. Turbo is fast, explosive, and elusive. I'm more of a physical guy, which makes us complement each other well.
On Grant Wilson being one of the best team players…
LB: I definitely think Grant is a team player. Grant is the type of guy who gets along with everybody in the locker room. If he were to step up, I know for a fact that he's going to deliver.
On if he pays attention to his speed and if he thinks he's close to Turbo's speed...
LB: I do pay attention, but they never show me. I do think I'm close to Turbo's speed though.
Turbo Richard | RB | Third Year
On how him and Lee Beebe Jr. make a one-two punch…
TR: I feel like we kind of match each other pretty well. We're both able to go in and bring production to the offense. We keep each other fresh.
On if his physical part of his games gets overlooked because people think "Turbo" means speed...
TR: Yeah, I feel like when they think of Turbo, they think fast. I feel like I am able to get those hard yards and the short yards. Being able to get those yards is a part of my game.
On the transition from Boston College to Indiana and the conference change…
TR: I feel like it's been pretty good; I've always had that winner's mentality. Just coming here plays a big part in my success. The only difference is, the Big Ten is a little faster paced than the ACC, which isn't a bad thing. It's just more competition.
Preston Zachman | DB | Seventh Year
On the pride you take shutting down another team's defense…
PZ: Yeah, I mean, we take a lot of pride in that, giving up no points every single week. We feel strongly about our team, and our defense, and it feels pretty good to be able to do that at the end.
On the difference between the North Texas and Howard games…
PZ: I think it was just more of our attention to the detail, just being intentional with our tackling, communication, everything like that. ?All the little details, we weren't very clean the first week. We were a little sloppy. I think we made good improvement, and we had to continue to do that.
On the communication changes when personnel changes…
PZ: Yeah, it definitely changes things, but you got to have the next man up mentality. Guys, guys are gonna go down. The guy stepping in has to be ready to communicate and everyone's got to be on the same page.
