Four Hoosiers Feature in Big Ten Watchlist

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Four members of the Indiana swimming and diving programs featured in the Big Ten Men's and Women's Swimmers and Divers to Watch List, the conference office announced on Tuesday (Sept. 22).
The list includes IU swimmers Josh Bey and Liberty Clark and divers Josh Hedberg and Ella Roselli.
Bey became the third athlete in conference history to win Big Ten Men's Swimmer of the Year and Freshman of the Year in the same season in 2026. Bey was the Big Ten's top scorer at his first NCAA Championships, scoring 41 points. The first-year swimmer finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 1:48.79 to become 10th-fastest all-time in the event. Bey also set the Big Ten and program records in the 400 IM with a 3:34.90 to win the conference title in the event.
Clark was the unanimous Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2026 after earning seven first-team All-American finishes at the NCAA Championships. The first-year athlete broke program records in all seven of her NCAA events – three individual, three relay – and earned medals in the 200-yard freestyle (silver) and the 200-yard freestyle relay (bronze).
Hedberg saw his 2026 freshman season cut short due to injury, but the U.S. National Team member is eager to extend his decorated diving career to the collegiate stage. This summer, Hedberg won 10-meter synchro gold at the American Cup and the Bolzano Diving Meeting as well as a silver medal at the Madrid International Diving Meet.
Roselli comes into her fourth collegiate season a four-time All-American and two-time Big Ten medalist. In 2026, she finished ninth in the platform diving event and 12th on the 1-meter springboard at the NCAA Championships.
