Hoosiers Tie for Third at Bettie Lou Evans Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Indiana Hoosiers women's golf team tied for third at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational played at the University Club of Kentucky – Big Blue Course. IU shot an 863 (284-285-294; -1).
The team score (863) and to-par score (-1) marked the lowest by a Hoosier squad since the program posted an 853 (-11) at the Illinois Invitational from Oct. 6-7, 2025. The t-3rd finish is the best for the program since a third-place outing at the Liz Murphey Collegiate from March 28-30, 2026.

• Third-year Cara Heisterkamp provided a career-best tournament in Lexington. She shot a 210 (69-70-71; -6), the lowest score of her collegiate career and her first 54-hole event under par at Indiana.
• The Westlake, Ohio, native tied for fourth in the individual standings, her second career top-10 finish (t-7th at the 2025 Florida State Match Up). The tournament marked the first time in her career in which she finished atop the Indiana leaderboard.
• Heisterkamp compiled 12 birdies across 54 holes and was 3-under par on the back-nine over the course of the event.
• Fourth-year Sheridan Clancy signed for a 213 (71-69-73; -3), the fifth event played at or under par in her last eight starts as a Hoosier. She tied for 10th overall, her fifth top-10 finish with the Cream and Crimson. Clancy posted 10 birdie conversions.
• Fourth-year Katie Poots played a 219 (72-75-72; +3) with 11 birdies.
• Second-year Saia Rampersaud added a 225 (72-71-82; +9) to the IU ledger with nine birdies.
• Fourth-year Harriet Lockley shot a 232 (78-76-78; +16) with four total birdies.
• Second-year Grace Heiss, who played as an individual, entered the clubhouse at 234 (79-82-73; +18) with seven birdies.
