In her first season, played all 19 games with 18 starts alongside Mollie Getzfread in central midfield … scored her first career goal at California (9/7) … aided Indiana’s winning efforts to open the Big Ten schedule against Iowa (9/25) and Northwestern (9/27) … contributed to Indiana’s defensive fortitude in their last four Big Ten contests, when the Hoosiers allowed just one goal at Maryland (10/23) … posted shutout wins over Ohio State (10/16), Penn State (10/18), and Rutgers (10/30) … fired one shot attempt in the Big Ten quarterfinals versus Penn State (11/5).

PREP/PERSONAL: As a member of the Kippenberg-Gymnasium Bremen team, she helped her high school win a state championship in 2011 … Kaste’s youth team won the state championship in three consecutive seasons, 2011, 2012 and 2013 … played for the Women Valley Hockey Club in Australia and attended a three week hockey exchange in Chile, playing for Manquehue Santiago de Chil … daughter of Nikola and Axel Kaste … has a twin brother, Lukas
