2018 (Senior)
Earned the 2018 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for the Hoosiers…Named to the Big Ten’s Preseason watch list (8/20) ...started all 17 games this season for Indiana…placed a shot on target and aided a shutout win against Ball State (8/26) ... scored the first game-winner of her career, capping a comeback victory over Saint Francis (9/9) ...recorded a shot on goal against Northwestern (9/14)… placed a pass to teammate Ciara Girouard who’s shot led to a goal at Michigan (9/30)… made the game-winning goal against Michigan State for her second goal of the season (10/5).. had a shot at Penn State to close out the regular season (10/19)…assisted on a goal off of a penalty corner in the Big Ten Tournament vs. Michigan State (10/26).
2017 (Junior)
Academic All-Big Ten honoree … recipient of the team’s Hustle Award honor … served as a starter in all 17 appearances from the midfield … Indiana field hockey’s scored once with four assists, placing all four of her shots on target … received a spot in the starting lineup for the season opener at No. 9 Louisville (8/25) ... fired a shot on target during a high-scoring win at Villanova (9/4) ... set two assists, a single-game career high, in a win over Central Michigan (9/8) ... assisted on a goal in the Big Ten home opener against Maryland (9/15) … scored the opening goal in the Hoosiers’ home win against Ohio (10/8).
Academic All-Big Ten honoree … made 20 appearances, breaking into the starting lineup five times … ended the year with one goal and one assist, placing 3-of-5 shots on frame … launched two shot attempts against New Hampshire (9/11) … funneled an assist to Kate Barber for the fifth score in IU’s 6-1 win at Central Michigan (9/25) … scored the first goal of her career at Miami (10/2) to tie the contest late and force overtime … started in midfield for the Hoosiers’ upset win over No. 6 Northwestern (10/7).
2015 (Freshman)
Made 14 appearances for the Hoosiers in her first season ... fired two shots on goal in her career debut against Missouri State (8/28) ... saw action in all three of Indiana’s games on the west coast, taking the turf against Stanford (9/4), Pacific (9/5), and California (9/7) ... checked in during IU’s win over Ball State (9/18) ... made appearances in IU’s final six games of the regular season, including wins over Ohio State (10/16), Penn State (10/18), and Rutgers (10/30).
Prep/Personal: Was a two-time All-Ohio and First-Team All League selection for St. Ursula Academy … after a 10-goal and four-assist effort in her junior year, she was also named to the Harrow Sports All-Region All-America Team and the Cincinnati Enquirer Field Hockey Player of the Year … Swope led her team in scoring with eight goals and six assists during her senior campaign, helping St. Ursula place third in the league … earned three letters in field hockey … also earned three letters in Track and Field at St. Ursula … participated in the National Futures Championship (2012-14) and the National Club Championship (2014) … born December 2, 1996 ... daughter of Rodney and Monica Swope … has a sister, Kristin, and a brother, Caleb ... majoring in Biology.
