Paul Miller

Paul Miller is in his third season as Assistant Coach/Director of Scouting & Analytics in 2026-27.
He leads IU’s defensive strategy while also focusing on player development. In 2025-26, he guided Shay Ciezki to All-Big Ten honors and a USBWA All-American honorable mention nod while shooting 50/40/90 and averaging 22.8 points per game, just the second ever Division I player to post the coveted averages and score 20-plus points per game. Ciezki improved her scoring by +11.4 points per game in one season and a total of 708 points as a senior, which put her third all-time in a single season in school history.
Miller joined the Hoosiers after two seasons (2023 and 2024) as an assistant coach with the WNBA’s Indiana Fever. In his role, he worked primarily with Indiana’s post players and the team’s offense. The organization ranked third in offense in 2024 and finished with a 20-20 record, making its first playoff for the first time since 2016.
Prior to the Fever, Miller served as an assistant coach with the Windy City Bulls in the NBA G League during the 2022-23 season. Prior to his assistant coach role with Windy City, Miller was the assistant to the head coach in Chicago from 2019-22 before moving over to Windy City’s coaching staff.
After playing college basketball at Lake Forest College in Illinois, the Canadian Lake, Michigan native began his career with the Chicago Bulls in 2011 as a video intern. He earned a degrees in history and religious studies in 2012.
Miller is married to his wife, Emily, and they have two sons, Elliott and Teddy.
