Hoosiers Fall to Ohio State, 1-0, in Preseason Scrimmage

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Indiana field hockey team opened preseason competition with a 1-0 loss at Ohio State on Wednesday, Aug. 17, in Columbus.
IU's Brenna Moeljadi tallied a team-high five shots, with two on goal, while Katie Griswold recorded two shots on goal. Caitlin Bearish, Jaclyn Zamudio, Audra Heilman and Morgan Fleetwood also recorded one shot apiece.
Maggie Olson started in goal and tallied three saves in 35 minutes, with Viki Green playing the second half and registering two saves. Paula Pastor-Pitarque scored Ohio State's lone unassisted goal at 16:08 mark in the first half.
The Hoosiers will play their final preseason scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 1 p.m. ET when they play host to Ball State at the IU Field Hockey Complex.
