- The Hoosiers are looking to bounce back from its first Big Ten loss of the season at No. 14 Maryland on Monday night, 84-80. Junior guard Grace Berger led IU with a new career-high 26 points on 13 made field goals while sophomore forward Mackenzie Holmes added a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Senior guard Jaelynn Penn also added 10 points.
- Holmes leads the way for IU in scoring with 16.5 points per game while Berger adds 15.0 points per game. Junior forward Aleksa Gulbe paces Indiana on the glass with 8.0 rebounds per game.
- Despite trailing in the all-time series with the Lady Lions, Indiana has won six of the last seven meetings dating back to the 2014-15 season. It has won the last two-straight including last year's meeting in University Park, 76-60.
- IU continues to be one of the conference's leaders in defense this season, allowing opponents to score just 56.2 points per game through eight games. The Hoosiers rank second in the Big Ten in that category while their field goal percentage defense (34.9 percent) also ranks second.
- For the 27th-consecutive week, Indiana came in ranked in the Associated Press Top 25. It moved up one spot this week to No. 19 and stayed steady at No. 18 in the WBCA/USA Today Coaches poll.
