NOTES
- Indiana advances to the regional semifinals for the first time in the 64-team format and second time in school history. It previously advanced to the round of 16 in 1983 when the tournament field was comprised of 32 teams.
- It advanced after defeating Belmont, 70-48, on Wednesday. The Hoosiers have allowed a combined 80 points in its first two tournament games, the fewest points ever allowed by a Big Ten team in the first two games of the Big Dance.
- The Hoosiers are led by four All-Big Ten selections including sophomore forward Mackenzie Holmes who averages 17.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game. Junior guard Grace Berger (15.5 points) and senior guard Ali Patberg (14.0 points) each add double figure.
- IU secured its sixth-straight 20 win season on Wednesday, continuing the program's longest streak of 20-win seasons. Overall, the Hoosiers have posted 10 20-win seasons in its 48 year history.
- A Wolfpack alumnus will be on the Hoosiers' sideline on Saturday night in first year assistant coach Ashley Williams. Williams, a native of Cary, North Carolina, was a walk-on for head coach Wes Moore from 2013-17. She graduated with a degree in industrial engineering in 2017 before spending two years at IU as a graduate manager from 2017-19 before returning at the start of this season in a full-time capacity. The last time the two programs met, Williams was a senior guard for the Wolfpack.
