- The Hoosiers will play in Las Vegas for just the second time in program history. The other was in 1986-87 season when it played in the UNLV Bud Light Tournament on Dec. 12-13, 1986. It split a pair of games in the non-conference tournament, losing to Stephen F. Austin and defeating Mississippi State.
- Off to a 5-0 start, IU posted three wins last week including a victory at No. 11/4 Tennessee on Nov. 14. For the first time since 2019-20 and third time under ninth year head coach Teri Moren, IU starts the season off winning their first five games of the season. Moren was named the ESPN Coach of the Week for helping IU to three wins last week.
- Senior forward Mackenzie Holmes was named to the Big Ten Player of the Week honor roll for her efforts in those three wins as she averaged 18.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and shot 66.7 percent from the floor in that span.
- Indiana jumped three spots to No. 6 in the Associated Press Top 25 and four spots to No. 5 in the USA Today/WBCA coaches poll this week. They tie their highest ever ranking in the coaches poll this week, having come in at No. 5 in weeks 10 and 11 of the season in 2021-22.
