
Hoosiers Back In Action Against Wisconsin On Saturday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana dives back into Big Ten play when it hosts Wisconsin on Saturday in a 2 p.m. ET tip off in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall and on Big Ten Network.

Wisconsin is off to its best start since 2009-10 as it sits at 10-2 overall which includes its first Big Ten win over Rutgers on Dec. 8. Junior forward Serah Williams leads the Badgers with 20.0 ppg. and a Big Ten leading 12.3 rpg. and 2.8 blocks per outing. Carter McCray (11.4 ppg.) and Ronnie Porter (11.3 ppg.) also add double figures for Wisconsin, who brings a five-game win streak with them into Bloomington.

- Indiana wrapped up non-conference play on Dec. 22 with a 35-point win over Oakland, 90-55. Junior guard Shay Ciezki led the way with 20 points as the Hoosiers shot 55.4 percent from the floor in the win. IU went 8-3 in non-conference action, highlighted by win over then No. 18 Baylor and No. 24 Stanford.
- Coming into Saturday's game, IU brings a 10-game win streak over the Badgers, its longest over another Big Ten opponent to date. The streak dates back to the 2016-17 season and the program also holds a 35-4 advantage in home games against Wisconsin.
- Junior guard Yarden Garzon paces the Hoosiers through the first 12 games, averaging 14.7 points per outing and a team-high 33 3-pointers. She's one of three players averaging double figures which also includes junior guard Shay Ciezki (11.8 ppg.) and junior forward Lilly Meister (11.1 ppg.).
- The Hoosiers are on the brink of setting some historical marks as it needs just three more games to win its 900th program victory. Individually, Garzon (898) and graduate student guard Chloe Moore-McNeil (936) are also nearing the 1,000-point club at IU, joining 31 former players who have also reached the career milestone. Moore-McNeil also continues to work her way up with all-time assists list at IU, as she added eight more to her resume against Oakland for a career total of 409, which ranks sixth all-time.
