
Indiana Dominates Chattanooga on Senior Night

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– In the final dual of the season, Indiana took care of Chattanooga, 33-11, on Friday night at Wilkinson Hall.
Indiana won with bonus-points in six of the seven individual wins in the match, including two pins, two tech falls and two major decisions.
With the win, Indiana closes out dual season with a final record of 7-5.
Prior to the match, the program recognized its nine seniors who competed in Wilkinson Hall for the final time of their collegiate career.
The program's nine seniors were Brayton Lee, Dan Fongaro, Michael Spangler, Clayton Fielden, Nico Bolivar, Nick South, Nick Willham, Cayden Rooks and Graham Rooks.
Indiana senior manager Elizabeth Reyes and athletic training student Chinonso Emenim were also recognized prior to the dual.
KEY MOMENTS
• Indiana opened the dual with a win by fall (2:51) from redshirt freshman Blaine Frazier at 125 lbs. over Ty Tice. This was Frazier's first pin in a dual of his career.
• In his final match at Wilkinson Hall, sixth-year senior No. 13 Graham Rooks (149) defeated Matthew Williams by tech fall, 19-4 (6:28) to give Indiana the lead back at 11-8.
• No. 14 and graduate student Brayton Lee (157) very nearly made it back-to-back tech falls but came a point shy in a 19-5 major decision win over Lincoln Heck.
• After intermission, Tyler Lillard (165) won by decision, 8-1, against Kamdyn Munro.
• Roman Rogotzke (184) was explosive all match against Landon Lewis, scoring on a multitude of takedowns, including one with 14 seconds left in the match to secure a 22-6 win by technical fall (6:46).
• Gabe Sollars (197) brought his season count of pins up to 12 when he stuck Ryan Stein in 2:27 to add another six points to Indiana's team score.
• Nick Willham closed out his time at Wilkinson Hall with a masterful 11-1 major decision over Kaleb Snodgrass.
NOTABLES
• This was Indiana's second win in a row over Chattanooga, last year, the Hoosiers won 32-3 in the Scenic City.
• Redshirt sophomore Roman Rogotzke (184) and redshirt freshman Gabe Sollars (197) each improved their season records and lead the team with wins, having identical marks of 20-12.
• Indiana went 6-1 in home duals on the season.
• Graduate student Graham Rooks (149) is the only Hoosier wrestler to compete for head coach Angel Escobedo for his entire coaching tenure at Indiana.
• Redshirt freshman Cole Rhemrev (141) made his first dual appearance of his career.
