Gelletich Falls Short in Finals, Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Milwaukee Classic

MILWAUKEE, Wisc.– The Indiana Men's Tennis team wrapped up play at the Milwaukee Classic, where they competed against 23 different schools in an early season competition. Sophomore Braeden Gelletich was the standout player this weekend, making a standout run to the singles final. Gelletich battled through four straight matches, earning comeback wins over Navy's Jason Kim, Illinois' Simon Knezevic, Purdue's Maj Premzl, and TCU's Filip Apltauer, before falling to TCU's Maximus Dussault in the championship.
The Hoosiers saw additional success across the singles draw, with Karan Raghavendra, Deacon Thomas, and Aidan Atwood all advancing to the round of 32. Atwood added two consolation victories, while Thomas also picked up a win in the consolation bracket. In doubles, both IU pairings, Thomas/Raghavendra and Atwood/Gelletich, collected first-round wins before bowing out in the round of 16.
