No.15/16 Hoosiers Set For MPSF Openers at No. 2 USC, No. 4 UCLA

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 15/16 Indiana water polo will begin Mountain Pacific Sports Federation action when it travels to Los Angeles for a pair of games against No. 2 USC on Saturday and No. 4 UCLA on Sunday.

The Hoosiers are back in the pool after going 2-2 at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational on Feb. 21-23 where it picked up wins over No. 18 UCSB and No. 8 UC Davis.
In the win over UC Davis, IU was highlighted by four goals each from senior Skylar Kidd and junior Louisa Downes.
Five players have already scored 20 goals or more led by Kidd's 41 goals as Downes adds 31 and senior Sophia Sollie has 27.
Kidd continues to pace Indiana in a plethora of statistical categories and in the top 10 in six categories in the MPSF. Kidd has a team-high 41 goals with a league-high 36 sprint wins. The Laguna Beach, Calif. native also has 30 assists (3^rd in MPSF), 71 total points (4^th in MPSF), 31 earned exclusions (3^rd in MPSF) and 25 steals (3^rd in MPSF).
Senior Portia Sasser continues to be one of IU's strongest passers with a team-high 37 assists while adding 18 goals for 55 total points. She joins Kidd (70) and Downes (57) as three players with over 50 points on the season.
