Indiana Cross Country Opens Season With Sam Bell Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's and women's cross country teams open the season with the Sam Bell Invitational at the Sam Bell Cross Country Course on Friday, August 29.
The men's teams will run a 6K at 8:30 a.m. ET with the women set to run the 4K at 9:15 a.m. ET.

HOOSIER LINEUP
This is the first of IU's five regular season meets, and the lone opportunity to see the Hoosiers on the course in Bloomington.
Indiana will race five men and nine women with a combined nine runners competing unattached
The men's squad will feature all returners including Caden Click, Garrett Hicks, Matt Kim, Aidan Lord and Andrew Mangum who will run the 6K.
On the women's side, freshmen Ava Jarrell and Alayna Todnem will make their debuts as Hoosiers along with returners Mary Eubank, Catie McCabe, Lily Myers, Claire Overfelt, Michaela Quinn, Joey Rastrelli, and Katelyn Winton.
BACK AT HOME
IUXC will open the season at the Sam Bell Cross Country course for the second straight year. At the meet, the Hoosiers will race against Ball State, Indiana University of Indianapolis, and Rose-Hulman as they look to build on year two under head coach Eric Heins.
