BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– Indiana outscored Saint Francis 5-1 in their Sunday afternoon matchup at Deborah Tobias Field.
IU's record moves to 4-2. The Hoosiers will open Big Ten play next week as the Hoosiers welcome Iowa for a doubleheader.
KEY MOMENTS
• Freshman Lily Freeman found the back of the cage first for the Hoosiers on an assist from Molly Stutte in the 16th minute, bringing the score to 1-0.
• Senior Anna Mozeleski scored in the 19th minute. Freshman Georgia Rottinghaus notched the assist, extending the lead to 2-0.
• Stutte found the back of the cage on a penalty corner in the 34th minute to bring the score to 3-0. Mijntje Hagen and Inés Garcia Prado recorded an assist.
• In the 39th minute of play, Hannah Riddle sent the ball into the cage to further IU;s lead to 4-0.
• Kylee Hager struck back for the Red Flash in the 52nd minute to move the score to 5-1. Cruz Cánepa recorded the assist.
