Indiana Basketball Game Notes – Exhibition 2 vs. North Carolina

Opening Tip
• The Indiana Hoosiers will continue exhibition play against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Sunday, Oct. 18. Tip is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Jay Wilson (PxP) and Shimmy Gray-Miller (Analyst) will handle the B1G+ stream.
• North Carolina is under the direction of first-year collegiate head coach Michael Malone, who spent 24 seasons on the sidelines of the National Basketball Association. He spent 12 seasons as a head coach in the league, which included 10 years with the Denver Nuggets. He won the NBA Championship in 2023 and won 510 career games.
• Senior forward Jarin Stevenson, one of two returners who played in 15-plus games during the 2025-26 season, averaged 8.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per night. He started 25-of-33 appearances.
• Senior guard Jaydon Young, the second-most experienced returner, played in 31 games with four starts. He averaged 1.8 points and 0.9 rebounds per game.

• Indiana has played 114 neutral site games in program history in Indianapolis and amassed a record of 85-29. The Hoosiers have won seven of the last eight non-conference clashes in the Circle City.
• IU will play non-conference games in the capital city against Syracuse (Gainbridge Fieldhouse) on Nov. 9 and Kentucky (Lucas Oil Stadium) on Nov. 20. The 2027 Big Ten Tournament will also be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

• Third-year wing Jaeden Mustaf averaged 9.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in two seasons at Georgia Tech.
• Mustaf, a Bowie, Md., native, averaged 14.9 points per game on .453/.400/.864 shooting splits over the final month of the 2025-26 season.
Darren from Downtown
• Third-year guard Darren Harris, a former top-40 national recruit and Duke transfer, has appeared in 57 career games and emerged with 55 collegiate victories.
• In 15 career games with at least 10 minutes played, Harris has averaged 6.7 points on 39.2% (20-of-51) shooting from behind the 3-point line.
