BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The stretch run of the 2026 regular season will see the Indiana volleyball team (13-8, 6-6 Big Ten) return home for four of its final five matches. The Hoosiers have played five of six matches away from Bloomington over the last three weeks but will welcome Iowa (Nov. 6) and Illinois (Nov. 8) to Wilkinson Hall this weekend for a pair of crucial conference matches.
IU was finally on the right end of a long five-set match in Big Ten play when it reverse swept No. 25 Michigan State last Friday (Oct. 30) evening in East Lansing. After dropping five-set contests to ranked foes in Wisconsin and Oregon, IU picked up another resume-building victory against the Spartans. If IU can win its two games this weekend, it will ensure itself a winning season in consecutive years for the first time since 1999-2000.
Fifth-year middle blocker Kiki Granberry has been a big spark for the Hoosiers over the last two weeks. She's had at least five blocks in four of her previous five matches. That includes a brilliant 10-kill, nine-block performance in the comeback win over Michigan State. Her counterpart in the middle, second-year Victoria Gray, is hitting .445 with 1.72 kills per set in conference play this year.
Wilkinson Hall has been a safe haven for the Hoosiers in recent memory but IU will be looking to snap a three-match losing streak on its home floor. A win over Iowa would ensure itself a spot in this month's Big Ten Tournament. A pair of wins in Bloomington would be critical in inching closer to a second-straight appearance in the NCAA Volleyball Tournament. First serve on Friday (Iowa) is set for 7 p.m. Sunday's match will start at 2 p.m.

Notable
ALL INVOLVED: Second-year setter Teodora Krickovic became the 12th player in program history to reach 2,000 career assists following her 41-assist performance against Michigan last Saturday. In her career, the Serbian is averaging 10.59 assists per set. She has 20 career matches with 40-or-more assists.
TALLYING WINS: Since the 2022 campaign (four-plus years), Indiana has racked up 90 wins under head coach Steve Aird. That includes at least 15 wins in each full season during that stretch. IU can reach that mark for the fifth-straight year in 2026 with a pair of wins this weekend.
KIKI GETS IT DONE: After putting up 14 blocks last weekend, fifth-year middle blocker Kiki Granberry is up to 399 blocks in her collegiate career. She needs one more to reach that illustrious 400 block mark as a college player. She would be the 20th active player in NCAA division one to hit the threshold.
STEADY AS IT COMES: Second-year outside hitter Jaidyn Jager reached double-digit kills in a pair of matches against Ohio State and Penn State last week. She's had at least 10 kills in 24 of her 32 career Big Ten matches. That includes 10 of IU's 12 conference games this season.
BIG BLOCKS: The Hoosiers have been one of the best blocking teams in the conference this year. During Big Ten play, IU is at 2.64 blocks per set (119.0 total). That includes back-to-back 12-block performances against Michigan State and Michigan on the road last weekend.
HOT HANDS: Over the last four games, IU's middle blockers have contributed at an elite rate on the offensive end. Mainly second-year middle blocker Victoria Gray and fifth-year middle blocker Kiki Granberry are combining for 3.88 kills per set since the Ohio State match. They had 19 total against Michigan on Saturday.
LOTS OF WINS: If IU can win both matches this weekend, it would achieve back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in over 20 years. The last time IU finished with more wins than losses in consecutive seasons was 1999-2000. The Hoosiers went 25-8 last year and have a 13-8 record this campaign.
BIG TEN SUCCESS: On the same note, IU is two conference wins away from reaching at least eight for the fifth-straight season. The Hoosiers haven't won at least eight Big Ten matches in fifth-straight seasons since a run of 7-straight years between 1984 and 1990. Entering the weekend, IU has won 48 Big Ten matches since 2022.
