BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– Indiana picked up its 12^th win by run rule this season on Tuesday (March 10) when it defeated Loyola Chicago, 14-6 in six innings, at Andy Mohr Field.

Indiana's Aly VanBrandt led the way, hitting three home runs to power the team to the win, including the walk-off to secure the run rule in the bottom of the sixth.

The Hoosiers have won three in a row and are now 19-5 on the year.

KEY MOMENTS
• Loyola Chicago hit a home run over the left field wall on the first pitch when Alli Pawloicz went yard to go up 1-0 in the top of the first inning.
• The Ramblers would make it a 4-0 game in the top of the second on a run scored from a fielder's choice and a bases-clearing double hit by Nat Lesnicki.
• Indiana would chip away from there though with a sac fly from Avery Parker, an RBI single from Josie Bird and a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the third, Indiana got the Ramblers' lead down to 4-3 at that point.
• VanBrandt hit the first of her home runs in the fourth when she hit a 2-run homer over the left field wall to put Indiana ahead 5-4.
• Indiana's lead was brief as Loyola tied it at 6-6 in the top of the fifth.
• After the game was tied up, Indiana scored a barrage of runs, charting eight in the final two innings, including six in the fifth inning.
• Following a 1-2-3 top of the sixth, Indiana picked the bats up right away to end the gmae quickly. Cassidy Kettleman bunted for a single to get on base before VanBrandt hit a home run over the right field wall to seal the run rule on the walk off homer.

NOTABLES
• Aly VanBrandt's three home runs is a career high and also tied the program's single game record. The last Hoosier to hit three home runs in a game was Brianna Copeland at Ohio State (March 31, 2025).
• VanBrandt's seven RBI in the game also tied the program's single-game record. VanBrandt had seven RBI in the team's win over Portland State earlier this season (Feb. 13).
• VanBrandt leads the team in home runs after her performance tonight, putting herself at nine on the season.
• Aubree Hooks' win puts her season record at 5-0 for the freshman.
• Three Hoosiers had multiple RBI on the day: VanBrandt (7), Parker (2), Bird (3).
• Indiana has won three games in a row dating back to the Saturday (March 7) won over Minnesota in their Big Ten opening series.

Indiana will stay home for its second Big Ten series of the year with a three-game set against Rutgers from Friday-Sunday (March 13-15) at Andy Mohr Field.
