Hoosiers Hit The Road To Face Northwestern, Illinois

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 69 ranked Indiana women's tennis continues conference play on the road as it heads to Illinois for a weekend double header. It will start on Saturday at 1 p.m in Evanston, Ill. against Northwestern, and will close play on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Champaign-Urbana, Ill. in a match with Illinois.

Northwestern also has two ranked doubles matchups (No. 27 Margot Phanthala/ Erica Jessel and No.81 Mika Dagan Fruchtman/ Neena Feldman). Illinois has No.90 Alice Xu/ Tess Bucher.
- Last weekend, IU split results in matches against No.26 Wisconsin (2-4) and Minnesota (4-2). In doubles play, it clinched the point from Wisconsin, with Freshman duo Alessandra Teodosescu and Hi'ilani Williams getting it done in a hard-fought match at No.1 doubles to assist in the effort (7-5). No.3 doubles (Chase Boyer/Nicole Teodosescu, 6-2) secured the first doubles court of the day to give Indiana the momentum it needed. It would then fall to the badgers in singles play despite doubles success.
- On Sunday against Minnesota, the cream and crimson would again start strong early in doubles matches, going up 1-0 after clinching the point. Three Hoosiers would find a way during singles to give it the push it needed to conclude the contest with a win.
