Hoosiers Secure Series at Michigan in Run-Rule Fashion

ANN ARBOR, Mich. ––– Indiana handled business on Sunday afternoon (April 26), claiming the series victory with an 11-2 win in five innings at Michigan.
The win marked the Hoosiers' third in the last four games and improves the season record to 37-13 and 14-7 in conference play.
GAME 3: INDIANA 11, MICHIGAN 2 (F/5)
*Indiana wins the series, 2-1
KEY MOMENTS
• A single from Aly VanBrandt along with hit by pitches taken by Avery Parker and Madalyn Strader set up a bases loaded situation for Ellie Goins. She proceeded to send the ball over the center field wall for a grand slam and 4-0 Hoosier lead in the top of the first.
• Michigan responded with a 2-run homer by Ella Stephenson in the bottom of the first to make it a 4-2 game.
• In the top of the second, Avery Parker crushed one to right center for a 3-run home run in the top of the second to give Indiana a 7-2 advantage.
• Ella Stephenson lined out to Alex Cooper who then dove to tag Indiana Langford for an unassisted double play in the bottom of the third.

• Parker's home run in the top of the second was her 50th career bomb. She would later hit her second home run of the day in the top of the fifth for career homer No. 51.
• Indiana's 11 runs today pushed the season total to 409 which sets a new program record. Last year's total of 403 was the previous high.
