NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ. – Indiana women's tennis (13-7, 3-5 B1G) found racket power in singles play to overcome Rutgers (8-10, 1-7 B1G) at the Livingston Tennis Center on Friday afternoon in New Brunswick, N.J.

- Rutgers took the early advantage in doubles play at court No.2 ( Elisabeth Dunac/ Ameia Sorey, 6-2). Junior Chase Boyer and Senior Nicole Teodosescu found momentum at court No.3, helping split the contest and bring it down to court No.1, where the Hoosiers dropped the match. Rutgers held the 1-0 edge going into singles play (No. 64 Alessandra Teodosescu/ Hi'ilani Williams, 6-4).
- Starting singles strong, Dunac defeated her Rutgers opponent at singles court No. 3 (6-1, 6-2) to put the Hoosiers on the board and tie it up, 1-1. Freshman Hi'ilani Williams followed closely behind with a win of her own at court No. 5 (6-4, 6-2) to give it the one point edge (2-1).
- After bringing set one to tie-breaker points, Nicole Sifuentes found a way through at court No. 6 to make the score 3-1 with an IU edge. Three of the singles courts got pushed to three sets. After Rutgers took court No. 1, Freshman Ameia Sorey took control at No.2 after she fell in the second set, making a comeback to add to the score and close out the match for Indiana.
