Hoosiers Sweep 800 to Close Battle on the Bayou

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Indiana track and field team finished the second and final day of the Battle on the Bayou from LSU on Saturday, April 4. The day featured more personal bests and a pair of event wins from the mid-distance group.

Josie Page started the day for the Hoosiers in the women's high jump. Her height of 1.71m/5-7.25 earned her a top-10 finish.

Indiana saw Veronica Hargrave and Camden Marshall make their outdoor debuts following indoor nationals in the 800-meters. The duo won their respective races with Hargrave running a 2:02.08 and Marshall timing in at 1:46.39.

In the women's 800, multiple Hoosiers also saw personal best times, including Lily Myers (2:08.38) and Ciara Kepner (2:11.16).

Freshman Kalen Sargent notched a new personal best with his time in the 400-meter dash. His time of 47.29 was best for 25^th in the event.

The Hoosiers will be back on the road next weekend as they head to Tuscaloosa, Ala. For the Crimson Tide Invite on Saturday, April 11.
