No. 24 Hoosiers Host 17th Annual Dale England Cup

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 24-ranked Indiana rowing the 17th annual Dale England Cup, featuring Michigan State and Tulsa, on Saturday (May 2) at the Dale England Rowing Center on Lake Lemon.
Racing is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. ET. The three teams will compete in six races, starting with the Third Varsity Eight crews and ending with the Varsity Eights. Fans unable to attend can follow the @IndianaRowing, @MSU_Rowing or @TulsaRowing accounts on 'X' for live results.
Indiana has won the Dale England Cup trophy nine times, including each of the last eight. The Hoosiers swept the three scoring races in 2025 to capture the trophy again.
Indiana will honor its senior rowers following the trophy ceremony at approximately 11:15 a.m. ET.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
All times eastern
9 a.m. – 3V8 (vs. Michigan State, Tulsa)
9:15 a.m. – 3V4 (Indiana A, Indiana B vs. Michigan State)
9:30 a.m. – 2V4 (vs. Michigan State)
9:45 a.m. – V4 (vs. Michigan State, Tulsa)
10 a.m. – 2V8 (vs. Michigan State, Tulsa)
10:15 a.m. – V8 (vs. Michigan State, Tulsa)
10:30 a.m. – Dale England Cup Trophy Award Ceremony
11:15 a.m. – Senior Day Presentations
SCORING SYSTEM
For each race in the following events, a crew earns the following points for their team:
Varsity 8 – 27 points for the winning crew, 18 points for 2nd, 9 points for 3rd
Second Varsity 8 – 18 points for winning crew, 12 points for 2nd, 6 points for 3rd
Varsity 4 – 9 points for winning crew, 6 points for 2nd, 3 points for 3rd
Tiebreaker - The higher placing crew in V8 event shall serve
as the tiebreaker between two teams if the team totals are equal
The team that earns the most overall total points wins the Dale England Cup Trophy
