Indiana Hosts No. 2 Maryland and No. 14 Rutgers on Homecoming Weekend

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – After completing a weekend sweep against Michigan State and Saint Louis, Indiana (4-9) will continue to compete at home as they host No. 2 Maryland and No. 14 Rutgers. This weekend marks homecoming weekend for the Hoosiers with Senior Day set for Sunday. This weekend's games can be streamed live on BTN Plus.

Last Time: Weekend sweep at home
IU is coming off a weekend that saw them play Michigan State and Saint Louis on home turf. The Hoosiers prevailed over Michigan State, 1-0, last Friday thanks to a late goal from Taylor Swope in the 64th minute of play. On Sunday, Indiana broke out the scoring with a 3-1 victory against Saint Louis. Jessica Morford tallied her first ever two-goal game, while Kelsey Giese also netted one for the Hoosiers.

Homecoming Weekend
The matches against No. 2 Maryland and No. 14 Rutgers will be part of many homecoming celebrations happening around campus. Last year during the weekend, Indiana hosted then No. 3 Michigan and Michigan State. They hung tough in both matches but couldn't come through the victories.

Senior Day
Indiana Field Hockey will celebrate their 2018 Senior class on Sunday as they host No. 14 Rutgers. Senior captains, Taylor Swope and Nora Aucker along with Claire Woods and Elle Hempt will be recognized prior to the match.

Indiana will conclude the regular season on the road at Penn State. The match is slated to begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19.
