
Indiana Falls in Final Seconds to No. 6 Rutgers

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Indiana Field Hockey team battled until the bitter end in a fierce, 80-minute battle with No. 6 Rutgers on Sunday afternoon. In the end, it was the Scarlet Knights that found a late winner to secure the victory in the 80th minute of play.
With the setback, IU moves to 6-6 (0-4) on the season while sixth-ranked Rutgers goes to 9-2 (2-1) on the campaign.
KEY MOMENTS
• Freshman goalie Arabella Loveridge was forced into action early with back-to-back saves early in the first period.
• Senior forward Hailey Couch had two chances in the second period but couldn't find the power needed on the shot to challenge the goalie.
