- Indiana moved up four spots to No. 4 in the Associated Press Top 25 on Monday, making history once again. It marks the first time in school history that the program has been ranked inside the top 5 in either national poll.
- It's coming off a 2-0 start to opening week where it defeated Butler on the road and No. 13 Kentucky. It marked the 10th straight season its won a season opener and 15th straight season its won its home opener.
- Junior forward Mackenzie Holmes earned her second career Big Ten Player of the Week honor as she went 64.0 percent from the field and averaged 20.0 points per game. She also shot 66.7 percent from the arc (2-for-3) and went a perfect 6-for-6 at the free throw line. She was named the last Big Ten Player of the Week in the 2020-21 season on March 7, 2021.
- Graduate student guard Nicole Cardaño-Hillary was also impressive in week one, averaging 20.5 points per game while shooting a combined 83.3 percent from the field and 76.9 from 3-point range in two games. She also added 6.0 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game in both of IU's wins.
- Indiana head coach Teri Moren secured her 150th career win in Cream and Crimson on Sunday evening. She's the program's second all-time winningest coach. A win on Tuesday would also give Moren, who is in her 19th season of collegiate head coaching, her 350th career victory.
