BLOOMINGTON, Ind.––– It was a tough Friday for Indiana as the Hoosiers dropped a home game to No. 5 Maryland, 3-0, at Deborah Tobias Field.

With the loss, Indiana is now 3-6 on the season and 0-3 in conference play

KEY MOMENTS
• Hope Rose scored early in the sixth minute from a penalty corner to give Maryland a 1-0 lead.
• Maryland was given a penalty stroke in the 12^th minute of play. Josie Holloman would score on the stroke to make it a 2-0 game.
• In the 36^th minute, Rose scored to give Maryland a 3-0 lead. Emma Deberdine assisted on the goal.
• Freshman goalie Sadie Canelli was a wall in the cage, deflecting back-to-back shot attempts in the 39^th minute from the Maryland offense.

NOTABLES
• Canelli made six saves in the cage.
