
Meet Central: IUTF Travels to Alex Wilson Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana track and field program will look to close the indoor regular season in the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind. The meet is set for Saturday, February 22 and will begin at 11 am.
The Hoosiers will compete in their final indoor meet this season, before the Big Ten championships next weekend. The Hoosiers will be competing against 22 teams over the weekend including several Big Ten opponents across 31 events. The women's shot put will start the day in South Bend at 11 a.m.
Indiana has entered 25 athletes in a combined 17 events on the men's and women's side across both meets.

THE HOOSIER LINEUP
Sprints and Hurdles:
Lyric Steele will start the track events for the Hoosiers in the 60-meter trials, while the men's side will feature Tyler Tarter.
The women's 60-meter hurdles will include Olivia Gee as the lone competitor in the event.
Christian Woodson will look to take first in the in the 200 meter race for the Hoosiers, as Jania Hodges will look to do the same in the women's 400 meter.
Distance & Mid-Distance:
The Hoosiers will have plenty of competition in the 800-meter run. Andrew Mangum will be the lone competitor on the men's side. He will be joined by Maddie Russin, Catie McCabe, and Taylor Fox on the women's side.
The mile-run will feature several Hoosiers on both sides. McCabe will look to take a competitive women's side along with Martini Segurola, Aidan Lord, and Cole Raymond on the men's side.
Ines Herault will compete in the 3000-meter run in South Bend along with Aaron Lord and Caden Click.
In the distance medley relay, Indiana will compete one quartet on the women's side and the men's side.
Pole Vault:
Tyler Carrel, along with Peyton McQuinn will look to take on a competitive group in the vault.
Throws:
The throws group looks to continue their strong season heading into the weekend in South Bend.
Hunter Smith will be joined by Tyler Reyna in the weight throw.
The men's squad will also see Dane Sebert and Seth Brosseau in the men's shot put. Makayla Hunter will look to continue to climb the Hoosier's all-time list in the event as well.
